I ordered this in a pink shade around Christmas, and it's a perfect alternative to bronzer, which looks weird in the midwest in winter. Nice flush color, but very natural

Makes you glow!

I really like this product. It is a great finisher for your make-up application. It is not more color--just makes your face have a lightness and glow that is terrific. I forgot to use it one day and noticed how flat my face looked. When I realized it was because I did not apply the illuminating powder, I realized how important this product is to me. You must try it. I use Starlight.

Got this as a free deluxe sample. Oh, I do love it.
Only word of caution is to apply sparingly as it can look unnatural if you put too much on.
And as much as you will be tempted to wear it during teh day, it really is best at night. In daylight, you will look like a glistening angel. (Okay, maybe not so bad!).
You will also need teh correct brush to apply. I was using a blush brush, and it was concentrating the color too much,.

Laura mercier's signature is being subtle and elegant.
This product embodies exactly that. This shimmer does not shine.. it simply makes you glow. That's very important because sometimes too much shimmer can make someone look very "not elegant".
The good thing with shimmer is it is very versatile, you can mix this with other products. :) This product is perfect to use when you want to update your look from a day look to an evening look . Add it to pump up the shine of your gloss, use as a highlight on your brow bone, on the high apples of your cheeks, on the bow of your lips. Brush it right on top of your collar bone, anywhere you desire.
Just make sure that when your working with shimmer, do it gradually. Always look back to check if you have enough product already. If you are unsure that you've used too much then that's a sign that you should stop layering. Less is more.... elegant.

Not fond of this product--but it could be me.

I have fair skin, but the color of the "Candlelight" appears to be too light for my skin under certain lighting conditions. I'm not sure how to use it to best advantage. I put it on my face very lightly, but perhaps not lightly enough.
I plan to take it back to the Laura Mercier counter to get some help--maybe I need the darker color or maybe it's just not for me.

this can be used on the eyes, cheeks, pressed into lip gloss, used as a body highlighter (decollate, shoulders, collarbone) or even mixed into body lotion for an allover glow.

This powder makes the most lovely eye shadow wash ever. Adds a beautiful sheen and hint of color for days I want a easy-going look. Great on top of other colors too to add glow and sheen. Even though I rarely would use it on other parts of my face, I'm very happy with it.
