I have combination skin (oily in the T zone) and don't like to "fuss" with make-up. The Silk Creme foundation is wonderful (at least for me)! It is oil-free with a slightly matte finish, long-wearing, and I don't need to use powder over it if I choose. Also, a small amount goes a long way, it's easy to apply, and has a nice, smooth texture. I just add mascara, eyeliner, and lip color and I'm ready to go.

I love this foundation! I have never understood the "a little goes a long way" until I found this product!! Just a little bit of it is all you need to cover up any imperfection and even up your skin! It makes your skin look flawless! I love it! The only complain i have is that they need a better COLOR SELECTION! i am hazelnut beige, and thats still really light when its applies to the skin...

I was so excited to try this product after all the great reviews. Let me preface by saying; I have combination skin with some dark spots, I used LM primer and a loose setting powder after applying this foundation. After about three hours the makeup began to oxidize and change color. After eight hours it was flakey and cakey. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect foundation but I am willing to try another LM product.

This foundation in unison with the PRIMER--is "LIFE CHANGING!" I absolutely love it--I am NOT a makeup junkie--someone who tries a little of this and a little of that--switching brands on a day to day basis. If I find something that works and is skin friendly for me (sensitive skin) then it's a winner! This foundation is something I plan to use UNTIL I DIE--(smile) unless for some reason the formula is changed or it gets discontinued. (LM--PLEASE DON'T EVER STOP MAKING THIS!)
Only problem is pulling myself away from the mirror! kidding! Thank you so much for your products--esp. this and the PRIMER!

I kid you not!
These are tubes of gold, I tell you. it leaves a beautiful satin finish and its not heavy. Thing layers work well, if not better as a little does go a long way as well as it works against you to put a lot of product on your face anyway -- aesthetically.
It sets smooth, no icky feeling, you forget its even there, and it almost looks like you've just got healthy, envy worthy skin. If only they knew... ;)

It stays put and is kind when you need to wash it off, or move it around even if you cake up when you mess up. :)

My best friend who has very discriminating tastes when it comes to make up turned me on to this foundation. It's easily the best foundation on the market. It blends beautifully and seamlessly into my skin. It provides full coverage and lasts all day. I feel like I have my "morning face" even hours after I applied makeup. I set my foundation with the loose setting powder then I buff the pressed mineral powder (also Laura Mercier) over it. They promise a flawless face and that's exactly what you get. Don't let the price scare you. I've been working on the same tube since August and it's not even 3/4 of the way done. A pea size amount is really all you need. Invest in a good sponge or brush and it'll stretch even more. Thank you for a truly phenomenal product!

I purchase this foundation before Christmas because I couldn't find my oil-free foundation in Golden beige anywhere. At first I thought it didn't give me the same glow that the oil-free did but when this is used with the new Primer-Radiance it' AMAZING! I have oily/combination skin and I just love the coverage and best of all it doesn't break me out! Love Love Love

I was first matched at the store in Beige Ivory but since this foundation oxidizes throughout the day the Beige Ivory turned out to be too deep for me (maybe in the Summer it would work better). Instead now I wear the Cream Ivory and I am in LOVE!! This foundation is truly a "silk creme". It feels like a creme going on and it leaves your skin feeling like silk. I only use a very small amount to do my entire face. I tried numerous different brushes but found that my fingers do a much better job of distributing this foundation. It covers any and all sins without sinking into pores or fine lines (I do wear the LM primer underneath). I also use the LM loose setting powder in my t-zone. I can honestly say that by doing this my makeup lasts up to 8 hours without having to touch up (and I have combination skin). I have tried so many other foundations and they either felt heavy, made me break out or looked cakey. This feels natural and very lightweight although it is full coverage. It's just hard to explain. You need to try it for yourself and hopefully it will work perfectly for you as it does for me. I pray LM NEVER discontinues this foundation because I will keep it buying it over and over again!

Just purchased this and so far, I really like it. I have acne prone skin and was suggested to try this foundation out. I use it with the oil free primer, and I love how soft and nice my skin looks :) I am very fair, and use the Rose Ivory color, I apply it with a brush til blended, and I def like it best out of all other dept store foundations I have tried! A little goes a long way too!

I bought this product in addittion to the illuminating tinted moisturizer to cover the red spots around my nose & on my chin. it only takes a drop...& I only put it where I need it because it is really heavy coverage. it feels great on the skin though. Be sure to use sparingly. There isn't a blemish this stuff won't cover! Even for Rosacea!

Not an easy foundation to work with-doesn't apply smoothly kind of dry in my opinion. Color is good but I found it too masky and not dewy at all. I have to mix it with another of my foundations to get a dewy not dry finish. I always use moisturizer on my skin then I use primer. I do not recommend this foundation for those with mature skin. Will not repurchase. Very disappointed after reading all the reviews.

I went to Nordstroms yesterday and a lady stopped me working at the Laura Mercier Counter while I was walking to the armani counter to get some foundation, i usually dont stop for any of the girls because I know that its there job to get you to buy the product even if its not good at all. So I was hesitant to stop at first, but I did and I am SOOOOOOO GLAD I DID!!! The lady pitched the foundation to me, she put some on my face and I was SOLD! :D I recommend this to any and all women with any sort of skin, it is absolutely flawless and long lasting, and worth EVERY penny ! :)

This is by far the best foundation I have ever worn. I absolutely despise every full coverage foundation except this one. I don't even feel like I have make-up on. Since I live in AL with a lot of humidity, a makeup that is light- weight and offers a fuller coverage, but stays in place is important to me. I have imperfections and blemishes and it covers them so well. I feel confident again. Thank you Laura Mercier!

I've been wearing foundation since 1971, and this is the best one yet. It's been nearly impossible to find makeup that suits my very pale, pinkish skin. But Silk Creme Foundation in Rose Ivory is perfect. The color disappears into my skin, which means it's the right color for me. It covers the veins on my translucent skin, but, paradoxically, lets my own skin show through. It gives my 70-year-old skin an air brushed and slightly dewy look and doesn't accentuate any wrinkles. And it looks wonderful all day. So, I've ended my long search for my perfect foundation. Thank you, Laura Mercier; this foundation really gives me the flawless face.

the only thing i would ask is that they add a lighter version of BEIGE IVORY cause rose tones dont work for me and the Beige Ivory is too dark for my skin althought it makes it look tanner but if you want a natural look that tone is not for me!.

This is a great foundation for a skin types. I use the color beige ivory. The color doesn't match perfectly, but it gives me a slightly more tan look, which is fine for the summer. It is long-lasting, and has great coverage. Your skin looks instantly more even.

My daughter introduced me to the Laura Mercer Line by giving me the Silk Creme Foundation in Rose. She found the color to be to dark for her very fair skin. I tried it and have been adding many other products to my collection. I have rosecea and sensitive combo skin. This makeup looks fantastic and I have been told it makes me look younger.
