this is the most beautiful color i've ever purchased from LM. And I am so glad I did.... it might seem like there is too much shimmer for you... but truly when you put on your eye with a good brush it looks emmaculate!!! it is the best color i've used yet. The price nor the pictures does it any justince. I will continue to purchase these eyes shawdows... they are beautiful and amazing!!!! love them love them love them!!!!!!

Fun Product to Use

I saw this product on the website and was curious about it since the reviews were so good. I went in for a makeup event at Nordstroms and I asked the makeup artist to use this on me. I wasn't sure how to really use this product, but she suggested that I use black karat with a wet brush to line above my eyeliner. It gives off a fun vibe with just the right amount of sparkle. The color is highly pigmented and stays on throughout the day! I haven't tried using this product dry, but will have to see how it looks. I want to try the other shades they have when I get a chance!

Sample product & I am so glad I didn't spend the money for a full size. Wet application spread large pieces of GLITTER everywhere! That attribute was not listed in the main category description. (Do ALL these baked eyeshadows have glitter?) This is not the product for a mature eye though the base color is beautiful. This is my first negative review of the multitude of LM products I own. Very disappointed.

At first I didn't like this product. I used it dry only and didn't feel like it had enough payoff. However, I gave it another chance and used it wet and LOVE it. The color stays on all day and doesn't require touch ups which is good for me as I'm fairly low-maintenance.
Ballet Pink is a perfect all-over eye shadow. Try it, you won't be sorry.

Lovely Eyeshadow

I hardly ever get compliments on my eyeshadow, but since I have been wearing Ballet Pink and Black Karat eyeshadow along with charcoal grey tightline eyeliner not a day has gone by without someone commenting on my eye makeup. I even got a huge compliment from a makeup artist. Laura your eyeshadows and eyeliner of course are awesome, thanks for making such great and easy products to use.

Right off, just looking at this in Ballet Pink I knew I could wear this one and I do not usually wear pink eyeshadows. I have blue eyes, light auburn hair and light skin with yellow undertones.
I apply it over the Wheat eye basics with the LM Allover Eyeshadow Brush and I really like the natural effect coupled with eyeliner/ smokey eyeshadow at the lashline.
Depends on your personal preference, I like this as well as the Black Karat, to play with for added depth into the crease which I purchased too.

Shimmery, long lasting... The key: I wet it first- NO FALLOUT. The color when wet ( for Black Karat) goldish olive green- very bright and shimmery. I have hazelish/brown eyes- makes them appear green.
I fell asleep- still on! Can't wait to try the other shades. I really recommend these- just remember t0 wet the brush first.

I bought the black carat- what a stunning color. With a wet application the color saturation is so beautiful that if it weren't for all of Laura's lovely colors, I may never wear anything else.

I have Black Karat and Violet Sky. At first, I was concerned the colors would be too intense, but these shadows are fabulous! Wonderful texture, they go on smoothly and evenly, and last all day. Bring on more colors!

I tried the new Baked Eye Color recently, and I must say, I have become a fan. You can apply it either dry or wet for a different effect, and the I love the suble sparkle.

When I saw this new exotic shade, I KNEW I had to have it. But normally with Baked Eye Shadows...the color payoff isn't that great. Tthis stuff however...blew me away!! A little lid primer and a few brush strokes of this stuff...and my makeup session of getting beautiful becomes something FUN!!! This is a remarkable color, lots of glamorous shimmer. I will surely be ordering more shades. I love how it can be a light wash of color, or mega intense and downright...sexy!! Thanks Laura Mercier for all your products. You have truly made makeup fun for me again!!! ;c)

I really like the baked eye colour for a subtle wash of color. They look very shimmery in the pan but don't go on with an overly shiny look, which is nice.

Laura has really ramped up her eyeshadows with the "Baked" collection. These eyeshadows are sparkling and beautiful, wet or dry. I own Ballet Pink, Petal Pink, Black Karat, and an exclusive turquoise shade sold at Nordstrom. All are vibrant colors that last all day. Bravo, Laura Mercier!

I am very happy with my latest purchase, this petal pink eyeshadow! It is real easy to apply and has an incredible sparkle if its applied wet! Wow! I love it! I will try more of those....

This product seems to be a baked eyeshadow. This eyeshadow is composed of a black base with lots of antique gold pigment glitter. Fortunately, I did not experience fallout, though I did have a sticky base on.
If you like sparkle that's more age appropriate than this is for you. I even wore this to work as a light smokey eye with some matte brown to blend out. And surprisingly it did not look garish at all. All I can say is that I really like this product.
